Lesson Objective: I can identify different shot types and use them to improve my photographs.

Shot types describe how close or far away you are from your subject. They help you to tell a story through your photos.


Wide Shot Shows the whole scene Subject appears small in the frame Good for showing location or environment	Medium Shot Shows the subject from about waist up (or middle distance) Balances subject and background

Close-Up Focuses closely on the subject Shows detail and emotion	Extreme Close-Up Very close to the subject Shows small details clearly
